PORTERVILLE, Tulare Co. — A cross country honeymoon followed the wedding of Nancy Carroll Delk and Clayton Reid Woodbury and preceded the establishment of their first home in Hartford, Conn.
The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Newton Woodbury or Wayne, Pa., the father of the bridegroom in the First Baptist Church. The couple then will reside in Pennsylvania while he attends theological college in preparation for a carerr as a Baptist minister.
The blue frocks and pink carnation bouquets of the five attendants complemented the costume of silk worn by the bride.
Miss Delk’s gown featured a sequin and pearl embroidered yoke of lace and a full skirt swept into a train. The bridal bouquet was of lilies of the valley, gladioli and carnations and the veil attached to a crown of pearlized orange blossoms was of illusion in a waist length.
Mrs Bob Hambleton of Jerome, Idaho, the bride’s only sister was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Joy Cook of Santa Maria, Santa Barbara County; Sonia Encinas of San Francisco, Pat Holly and Janet Schwinn.
