    • Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Sanders announce the engagement of their daughter, Betty, to Vernon R. Boyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardy Q, Boyd of Denver.       Mrs. Vernon Boyd – Miss Betty Diane Sanders, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. M.C. Sanders of Denver, formerly of Lincoln, became the bride of Vernon R. Boyd, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardy O. Boyd of Denver, at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Denver. Miss Joan Sanders of Lincoln was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were the Misses Edna Sweeney, Barbara Sweeney, Mary Jane Watts and Carrol Vase. Terry C, Baker was best man. Donald Helm, Donald Swickard and Bill Dillfnan seated the guests. Both attended Denver University where Mr. Boyd was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity
