      The marriage of Miss Carol Jane Palmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Luther Palmer, of Lynchburg, and the late Mr. Palmer, to Claude Horsley Wood, son of Mrs. RolandCarter Wood, of Wingina, and the late Mr. Wood, took place Wednesday evening, November 27, at 8 o’clock in the chancel; of the First Presbyterian Church, Lynchburg.
       The Rev. Herbert B. Barks, minister of the church, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Given in marriage by her brother, William Everett Palmer, of Fulton, N. Y., the bride wore a yellow street-length ensemble with matching headpiece and carried a crescent bouquet of bronze and yellow chrysanthemums. Mrs. Rolf Kurt Muench, sister of the bride, of Annapolis, Md., was matron of honor. Roland Carter Wood, Jr., of Wingina, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ushers were William Wood, of Wingina, also brother of the bridegroom, and Marvin W. Blount, of Lynchburg. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride. The couple will live in Lynchburg.
