Shaw — Williams
Miss Marjorie Shaw, daughter of Mrs. Gladys Shaw, and Mr. James Allen Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Williams, were married at 8 o’clock last night in the West Broadway Methodist Church. The service was read by the Rev. R. L. Sleamaker, assisted by the Rev. A. P. Reece. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Gordon L. Shaw. She wore a gown of duchess satin fashioned with a cathedral train. Her veil of illusion was finger-tip length, and she carried white orchids and gardenias. Mrs. Gordon L. Shaw, the matron of honor, was gowned in green velveteen and carried Talisman roses. The bridesmaids, Mrs. James B. Harrison and Miss Patsy Rockey, were dressed in rust velveteen and carried yellow roses. Miss Bonnie Lou Starke, in gold velveteen, was the flower girl. Mr. Michael C. Starke, Jr., served as best man, and. the ushers were Messrs. James B. Harrison and James M. Overstreet. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother, after which Mr. and Mrs. Williams left for a trip through the South. They will be at home at 650 Madlon Court.
