She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, DeLand, American Pen Women, the Azalea Garden Club and Junior Service League, DeLand. Survivors: son, John L. Jr., Winter Park, Richard, Ormond Beach; daughters, Sara Graham Ware, Boca Raton, Mary Graham Padgelek, Athens, Ga.; sister, Jessie Shaw Bates, Quincy; five grandchildren.
