      Evans, James Theodore – 95, Shubenacadie, Hants County passed away peacefully on September 27, 2010 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Torbrook Mines, Annapolis, he was a son of the late Luke and Lottie (Banks) Evans. Jim served with pride in WW II, with the West Novas. Jim was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 111 Shubenacadie, for the past 60 years.
       Surviving are his wife of 68 years Effie (Clark); sons Gary (Olive), Halifax; Dale (Sue), Shubenacadie; daughter Darlene Hynes, Shubenacadie; grandchildren Adam (Jody), Upper Stewiacke; Aaron (Pam), Greenwood; Scott, North Bay, ON; Matthew; Andrew (Kim), all of Petawawa, ON; Megan (Shane), Shubenacadie; Chad (Paige), Enfield; great grandchildren Dawson, Maddex, Addison, Sierra and River Evans, and Nevaeh Johnston; extended family members Mark (Tara) Tovell and their children Tristan, Noah, and Brady, all of Lower Sackville; Patrick Tovell, Whistler, BC.
       Visitation 6-9 Thursday, with a Legion service at 6pm, funeral service 2pm, Friday all in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Hwy 2, Shubenacadie, M. Dale Crawford DLM officiating. Interment in Brookside Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Shubenacadie Legion or a charity of your choice.
