Mrs. Verlie Ruth Dorsey Bowers, 74, of Lancaster passed away Sunday, November11, 2012 at CMC-Union in Monroe. She was born October 17, 1938 in Fort Fairfield, Maine, a daughter of the late Cecil Dorsey and Amanda Davenport Dorsey. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She liked auto racing and her dogs. She was a great cook and loved to go to yard sales.
Mrs. Bowers is survived by her husband, Thomas C. Bowers of Lancaster; four sons, Thomas Charles Bowers of Lancaster, Paul Litvinchyk and his wife Becky of Stafford, CT, Peter Litvinchyk and his wife Sandy of Copley, OH, and Steven Litvinchyk; one brother, Francis Dorsey of Vernon, CT; one sister, Phyllis Doughty of Pageland; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
