Vance O. Roberts, 62, of Rt. 1, Box 2, Orting, died Tuesday in a Tacoma hospital after a two-month illness. Mr. Roberts was born in Spokane and had lived in the Orting area 44 years. He was a heavy duty mechanic for the St. Regis Paper Co. and a member of Valley Lodge 71, F&AM, at Orting. Surviving are his wife, Leona; a son, Ron, and a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Meeks, both of Orting; a sister, Miss Evelyn Roberts, of Richmond, Calif.; and four granddaughters. Services are announced by the Orting Funeral Home.
