      MRS MAUDE A. BOTSFORD OF WINTHROP SUCCUMBS
      Mrs Maude A. Botsford, widow of Harry G. Botsford, who prior to his death a few years ago was a civil engineer in the employ of the city of Boston for a number of years, died last night at the House of the Good Samaritan at Binney and Francis Sts, Roxbury. She had been sick for about five weeks. Mrs Botsford was born and educated in Roxbury. She was 59 years old. She removed to Winthrop from Boston about six years ago, making her home at 583 Shirley st, Winthrop. Mrs Botsford is survived by two daughters, Mrs Margaret Hazen and Mrs Eleanor Allen, both of Boston; two sons, Harry Botsford and Ralph Botsford, both of Winthrop, and two sisters, Mrs Fred White and Miss Belle Poore, both of Haverhill. Mrs Botsford son, Harry, a Y-D veteran, was one of those who submitted to a blood transfusion in the heroic efforts made to save Maj Gen Clarence R. Edwards, war-time commander of the famous 26th Division. The funeral will be held at the Waterman Chapel, 497 Commonwealth av, Boston, Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock furnished by the County Antrim Orchestra, under the direction of Christopher J. Murphy.
