Walter Olive Ward, 94, of Lander, Wyo., died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006.
He was born in Moses Lake and raised in Manson and Cashmere. He worked at R.P. Tjossem and Sons in Ellensburg and later moved to Wenatchee, where he worked at Centennial Flour Mills. In 1961, he moved to Portland, Ore., where he worked for the state of Oregon for five years and then was a power plant substation operator with Bonneville Power Administration for 15 years. He settled in Lander, Wyo., in 1998.
Survivors include his children, Susan “Sue Ellen” Butts of Lander, Wyo., and Bruce C. Ward of Buena Vista, Colo.; and a brother, Dillis B. “Dick” Ward of East Wenatchee.
