      Mrs. Jean Evelyn Myers. December 26, 1929 - December 10, 2008
      MYERS, Jean Evelyn Dartmouth, passed away on December 10, 2008, in the Halifax Infirmary Neuro ICU, QEII, some 48 hours after suffering a stroke at home. Born in Middleton on December 26, 1929, she was a daughter of the late James and Alma (Barrett) Heatley. Besides raising her family, Jean spent many years working in the family business (Myers Equipment), both alongside her husband and for several years after his death. She is survived by son, Donald; grandson, Danny; daughter-in-law, Candace (Jones) Myers; sisters, Marlene (Milton) Bursey, Dartmouth; Margaret (Bruce) Ingraham, New Jersey; Kareen Black, Halifax; brothers, Robert (Ethel) Heatley, Toronto; John (Elizabeth) Heatley, Dartmouth; sister-in-law, Grace Heatley, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by husband, Daniel (1979); daughter, Janet Lee (1998); brother, William (Rev. Bill) Heatley (1996).
       Visitation will be held on Friday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St. Dartmouth, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow in funeral home reception centre. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Jean may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundationof Nova Scotia, or a charity of choice.
