      Lebanon, ME — Kendrick French 71, died Tuesday August 31, 2010 at Frisbie Memorial Hospital after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 17, 1939 in Rochester, he was the son of the late Ernest and Mildred (Newhall) French.
       Mr. French worked as a gun designer for Thompson Center Arms for 43 years. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a lifetime member of the Sanford – Springvale Fish and Game, the NRA, NAHC, and SCI.
       Members of his family include his wife of 54 years Permilia (Robbins) French, of Lebanon, ME; his children Ernest French and his wife Carolyn of Alfred, ME; Michael French and his wife Kimberley of Ebeemee, ME; Darlene Small and her husband George of Strafford, NH; and Donna Goodwin and her husband John of Middleton, NH; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, his sister June Goodfield of Newfield, ME; and his sister-in-law Gloria French of Lebanon, ME; several nieces and nephews.
       He was predeceased by two brothers Lewis and David French.
       Family and friends may visit Friday September 3, 2010 from 10 AM – 12 PM at the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St. Rochester, NH. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will take place in the New Cold Spring Cemetery in East Rochester. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Drive, Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110.
