      Mary A. Patterson, 83, of Clear Lake and formerly of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2005. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 12, at St. Mary’s of Nazareth Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
       Mary married Jack Patterson in 1945 and they were married for 48 years before he passed away in 1993. Mary lived most of her life in Des Moines, but spent her retirement years in Clear Lake. She was a graduate of East High School and retired from Younker’s.
       Mary is survived by her son, Dan (Cindy) Patterson of Des Moines: daughters, Jackie (Dan) Holland of Des Moines and Sally (Rex) Papach of Mason City; sisters, Virginia (Chuck) Lydic of Des Moines and Kay Halterman of Thornton, Colo.; brother, Bill (Sandy) Kearney of Pleasant Hill, Iowa; her grandchildren, Cory Holland, Laura Miller, Greg Patterson, John Woods and Amy Woods; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack and her sister, Florence Clemenson.
       Hamilton’s Funeral Home, Des Moines, was in charge of arrangements.
