B.A., M.A. 1986, ACADIA UNIVERSITY. Son of Isaac and Salome(Freeman)Shaw. Married Antoinette Dewis June 7, 1886. He was ordained July 17, 1886. He moved up fast in the church due to his charismatic personality, due to bad health in Nova scotia he was persuaded to move to San bernardino were his uncle lived. From there he opened a very successful Mortuary that is still in buisness. He received a commission as Captain and Chaplain of the Seventh Regiment, N.G.C. As a member of the Pioneer Society, in 1910 he had performed over 1,000 weddings in the Pioneer Society log cabin, including one for son, douglas Shaw. He died at his home survived by his wife, Antoinette and there children; Harold D.Shaw, Herbert Shaw, Douglas Shaw, Wayland Bartlett Shaw, Murial shaw Brown, Vernal Emily Shaw.
