      Unexpectedly at Bluewater Health ICU on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, with his loving wife by his side, Eric Charles McFadden passed away at the age of 61.
       Beloved husband and soul mate for 30 years of Rebecca (Becky). Loving father of Erica (Sean), Carly (Matt), and step-sons Jay and Nathan. Cherished grandfather of John, Alex and Kennedy. Dear brother of John (Marlene), Bruce (Virginia), Robert (Louise) and Lisa (Dennis). Will be sadly missed by his best friend Scott Simpson. Eric retired from the Canadian National Railroad in 2011. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
       Cremation has taken place. An open house to celebrate Eric’s life will be held at Smith Family Centre (in front of Smith Funeral Home), 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, June 20, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (lunch will be provided). Please join the family at Rondo’s (corner of Waterworks and Lakeshore Rd., Bright’s Grove), Eric’s favourite restaurant, after the visitation.
       In lieu of flowers and donations, please wear flowers and bright colours.
