      MARCHANT, Herbert Alvin Douglas ’Doug’ – (WWII Veteran) It is with sadness we announce his passing on June 4, 2010 at the Brampton Civic Hospital in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Marchant (nee Abbott) of Brampton. Father of Joy Ross, Julia Marchant and Roland Marchant. Dear brother of James, Fred, Joseph, Harris, Caroline, Julia, Madeline and Deloise. Dear grandfather of many grandchildren and extended family of nieces and nephews. He was an avid ham radio and computer hobbyist. At Mr. Marchant’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service at this time. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated. A Book of Memories may be signed at www.wardfuneralhome.com
