      Earl Nelson Griggs of 45450 Menholm Rd., Chilliwack, passed away Dec. 30, 1987, at his residence at age 82. Born March 13, 1905, at Griswold, Man., he had lived 20 years in the Chilliwack district. He was a retired correspondent for Massey Ferguson Co. and a member of the Chilliwack United Church. He enjoyed playing bridge and curling. Funeral service was held Jan. 2 from Chilliwack United Church with Rev. Allen Crewe, assisted by Rev. J.T. Horricks, officiating. Interment was at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Active casketbearers were Don Livingston, Dick Hesketh, Al Ritchie and Lloyd Russell.
      He is survived by his two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dr. Pearson and Muriel Griggs of Delta, Charles and Pearl Griggs of Griswold, Man.; sister and brother-in-law, Alberta and Allin Pybus of Winnipeg, Man.; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Ruby, in April, 1986; brother, Dr. Frank Griggs; and by his sister, Willa Rae.
