      GREAT FALLS — Doreen Rose (McFadden) Palmer, 79, of Great Falls, died on June 24, 2013 at a local hospice facility.
       A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 and from 9:00 a.m. to Noon on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Schnider Funeral Home. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Schnider Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
       Doreen was born on November 1, 1933 in Havre, Montana to Ira and LaVern (Meyer) McFadden. She married Gordon Arthur Palmer on May 14, 1952. He passed away in April, 1992. She worked in retail sales until retiring.
       Doreen is survived by her sons, Scott (Julie) Palmer of Vaughn, Brad (Rachele) Palmer of Leadville, CO, Marty (April) Palmer of Fairfield, Mark Palmer of Kalispell, and Bryan (Linda) Palmer of Great Falls; brothers Duane "Mac" McFadden of Great Falls and Dean McFadden of Whitefish; sisters Donna (Dennis) Painter of Great Falls, Dixie (Bill) McFadden of Boise, ID, and Debbie (Bud) Preston of Geismer, LA; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and companion Russ Blanchet of Great Falls.
       She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and LaVern McFadden; husband, Gordon Palmer; and grandson Nicklas Palmer.
       In lieu of flowers, memorials in Doreen’s name may be made to Peace Hospice, 1101 26th Str. So., Great Falls, MT 59405.
