      Funeral Friday For Mrs. Franz
      Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Franz, 87, pioneer Des Moines resident, will be at 1:30 m. Friday at Dunn’s funeral home. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery. Mrs. Franz died of uremic poisoning Tuesday at a Newton hospital. Mrs. Franz was born at Iowa City and came to Des Moines with her parents at the age of 1 year. She made her home here until 15 months ago when she moved to Newton to live with a daughter, Mrs. Frederick Boese. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran church here. Also surviving are a son, Walter H. Kupfer, Crete, Neb.; two other daughters, Mrs. David Alden, 4208 Hickman road, and Mrs. George Rowe, Lincoln, Neb.; sister, Mrs. Rose Akofer, Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
