      Fae Fern Messamer Mitchell, 67, of Mesa, Ariz. died in Albuquerque, N.M. on June 10 of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
       The daughter of Theodore Roy Messamer Sr. and Beulah Viola Zellers Messamer, she was born in Colfax Township in rural Dallas County and was a lifelong resident of the Minburn area. She married Merle Mitchell on Jun 20, 1944. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985, and in 1987, she and her husband moved to Mesa.
       Survivors include her husband of Mesa; two daughters, Diana Harper of West Des Moines and Carol Bose of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio; four brothers, Tim Messamer and Phil Messamer, both of Adel, Ted Messamer of Knoxville and Charles Messamer of Danville, Inc.; five sisters, Hazel Price of Dallas Center, Lois Robinson of Panora, Lucille Ddidy of Meservey, Jessie Blomquist of Stuart and Mary Cunningham of Perry; and two grandchildren.
