Jodie Lynn Schweinebart, 50, of Baxter, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the EveryStep Hospice House in Des Moines, Iowa. A visitation and memorial service at the Baxter Congregational Church in Baxter, Iowa, with Pastor Jacob Rahrig officiating. Burial in Restland Cemetery in Baxter, Iowa.
Jodie was born in Newton, Iowa, on January 27, 1971, the daughter of Ronald and Marlene (Sabin) Schweinebart. She grew up in Baxter where she attended school, graduating with the class of 1990. She earned her CNA and worked as a CNA at the Baxter Healthcare Center and Accura Healthcare.
Jodie was a member of the Baxter Congregational Church and the National Association of Healthcare Assistants. Jodie’s family was her life and she loved spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also enjoyed reading, playing games, puzzles, having her nails painted, shopping, and firmly believed she could never have enough shoes.
Surviving are her life partner Michael Wells of Baxter; children Jordan (Ashtin) Wells of Newton, Jake Wells of Burlington, Devin Wells of Newton, Dominic Wells of Baxter, and Colby Wells of Baxter; grandchildren Xavier and Elliott; mother Marlene Schweinebart of Baxter; brother Roy Schweinebart of Marshalltown; sister Wendy (Brian) Beal of Urbandale; nieces and nephews; Michael’s mother Vicki Wells; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Schweinebart and her grandparents.
