      FORT FAIRFIELD – Verna H. Doughty, 87, wife of the late Walter T. Doughty, died Friday morning, March 2, 2007, at a Presque Isle health care facility, after an extended illness. She is survived by one sister, Doris Nichols Doughty of Fort Fairfield. A graveside service of committal will be conducted at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, later in the spring. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Verna to her family, care of Dorsey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 567, Fort Fairfield, ME 04742.
