Helen Clark of Carlingford passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital on the evening of March 24, 2008. Born in Fort Fairfield, Maine on July 20, 1918, she was the daughter of the late William and Janet (Coes) Doughty.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Sandra Moorehouse of Connecticut, Veronica Doody of Presque Isle, ME, Mary Willette (Lenwood) of Florida, Donna Clark-Gagnon of Presque Isle, ME, Glenda Spittle (Greg) of Fort Fairfield, ME; her sons, Fred Clark (Darlene) of Carlingford, Terry Clark (Mavis) of Connecticut, Donald Clark (Judy) of Carlingford, Timothy Clark (Kathy) of Georgia; her sister, Gertrude Smith of Bowdoinham, Maine; her brother, Bruce Doughty (Phyllis) of South Carolina; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Clark of Fort Fairfield, ME; son-in-law, Donald Adams of Tilley, NB; 24 grandchildren and 52 great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Helen is predeceased by her husband, Robert Clark; her sons, Raymond and Dale Clark; her daughter, Nancy Adams; and her granddaughter, Beth Clark. Helen was a member of the Carlingford Ladies Aid and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Branch #36.
Resting at Calvary Tabernacle in Perth-Andover with visitation on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2 pm from the church. Rev. D.T. Ferrell officiating. Interment will be in Larlee Creek Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the NB Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
