ANNAPOLIS ROYAL – Funeral services for
Guildford D. Spurr, 67, of Nictaux, were held from the Baptist Church in Round Hill with Rev. Gordon Chapel officiating. Interment was in the family lot, Round Hill.
Mr. Spurr died in the Soldiers Memorial Hospital Middleton and was the son of Alfred T. Spurr and Luella (Morse) Spurr of Round Hill. He spent most of his life in Nictaux, where he was a mechanic. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, the former Clara Woodworth of Lake Pleasant; one daughter, Flora (Mrs. Fred Melanson) of Nictaux; five grandchildren; two sisters, Grace (Mrs. E. M. Goucher) of Round Hill; Thelma (Mrs. Cecil Devany) of Centrelea; three brothers, Philip of Aylesford; Lewis of Pleasant River; and William of Nictaux; two half-brothers, Alfred of Wilmot Station and Vernon of Westphal, Halifax County.
