    4. [S4] Obituary.
Clarbel Kight, 95, went home March 12, 2011, to be with her heavenly Father. She was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Troy. She was raised in Lewiston along with her three sisters and two brothers by her parents, Ralph and Myrtle Skinner.
Clarbel met Louis Kight and they were married Oct. 7, 1935. They had a daughter and two sons. During the war years they lived in Seattle, where Louis worked at Boeing as a lift truck driver. In the spring of 1944, the family moved back to Lewiston. As a family, they liked to camp, fish and work in their garden. Clarbel was also known for her cinnamon rolls. Easter egg hunts for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were always conducted in her backyard.
Clarbel was a member of the Button Club and became a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church Dec. 28, 1952. She loved the Lord with all her heart. After her husband Louis passed away in October 1999, she and her youngest son, Philip, lived in the family home where he took care of her in her later years.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Gay Kight; her parents, Ralph and Myrtle Skinner; three sisters, Katherine Townsend, Mildred Hansen and Elsie Glover; both brothers, Earl Skinner and Jacob Skinner. Surviving her are two sons, Louis G. Kight and wife Janice, and Philip D. Kight; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland Baptist Church in Craigmont.
