      DIXON — Kenneth C. Schryver, 83, of Dixon, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at Liberty Court in Dixon. He retired from St. Mary’s Cement plant in 1991 after more than 40 years of service.
       He was born Sept. 26, 1928, in Dixon, the son of Martin and Mabel (Slifer) Schryver. He married Jacqueline Beach on June 11, 1949, in Dixon. She preceded him in death Nov. 1, 1986. Kenneth was an Army veteran.
       Survivors include sons, John (Laurie) Schryver and Marty (Mary Ellen) Schryver, both of Dixon; and a grandson, Jason (Lisa) Schryver of Chicago.
       He also was preceded in death by a sister, Theora Ringler.
       Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Dixon. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Vincent Marrandino, director of pastoral care at KSB Hospital in Dixon, officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. A memorial has been established.
