      Charles R. Stebbins, 83, died at his home, 429 Sconondoa street, Sunday evening.
       Mr. Stebbins was born in Oswego, October 23, 1844. He has been a resident of this city 52 years. He was a veteran of the Civil War.
       Besides his widow, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. John L. Boyce, Baltimore, Md.; three sons, C. M. Stebbins, Buffalo; A. J. Stebbins and W. B. Stebbins, Savannah, Ga.; six grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; one sister, Mrs. J. J. Spencer, Rochester, and three brothers, George, William and Albert Stebbins.
       Funeral services were held privately at the late home at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, with burial in the Oneida Castle cemetery. Rev. William F. Davison, pastor of Oneida Baptist church, officiating.
