      RUGGLES, Douglas Howard – 67 of Melvern Square passed away peacefully Friday, December 25, 2015 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre, Infirmary Site, Halifax. Born in Berwick, he was a son of the late Morris and Hilda (Sweeney) Ruggles.
       Doug was a longtime employee of G.K. Morse Trucking. He enjoyed tinkering with vehicles, but most of all loved his daughter and granddaughter dearly and he will certainly be missed by his family and many friends.
       Doug is survived by his daughter Jennifer Ruggles, Melvern Square; step-son Matthew Boyd, Kentville; sisters, Sheila (Pat) Fraser, Badjeros, Ont., Greta (Wayne) Zwicker, Aylesford Mountain and Sharon Ruggles, Parry Sound, Ont.; brother, Clarke Ruggles, Sioux Ste. Marie, Ont.; granddaughter Chevelle Boudreau; sister-in-law Elizabeth Ruggles, Elliott Lake, Ont. as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
       He was predeceased by a brother Eugene and his paternal grandparents Benjamin and Gladys Ruggles.
       Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448 where a funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, December 31, 2015 with Rev. Leon Langille officiating. Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the IWK Hospital Foundation, Halifax.
