      BUSH, Flora Katherine — 91, Halifax, passed away July 25, 2008, in The Berkeley Retirement Home, Green Street, Halifax. Born in Warner, N.H., she was the daughter of Chester and Grace (Skinner) Lovering. Flora taught elementary school in the Annapolis Valley, Halifax and Dartmouth for many years, and upon retirement was active in adult literacy and the Retired Teachers Association. She attended St. Andrew’s United Church. Flora was a resident of Spring Garden Terrace for 40 years and had a great love for the Public Gardens. She is survived by son, David (Susan), Cambridge, England; grandchildren, Daniel, Jonathan, Hannah, Miriam; six great-grandchildren; and niece, Ellen Henry, Pittsford, N.Y. She was predeceased by sister, Norma Henry.
       Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, August 4, in St. Andrew’s United Church, Halifax. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Berwick Cemetery, Berwick. Donations may be made in memory of Flora to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Andrew’s United Church, Halifax.
