Old bankers never die – they just lose interest!
George Malcolm "Max" Elliott, born May 19, 1941, passed away in the Victoria General Hospital on November 16, 2016, after battling esophageal cancer for almost 2 years.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eda Klein Elliott; daughter, Ingrid and grandson, Dylan, all of Halifax. Malcolm is also survived by his brother, Robert "Bob" Elliott, Mount Hanley; sisters, Ruth Jay and Laura Elliott, Halifax.
Malcolm was predeceased by his parents, Roscoe and Mary Elliott and brother in law, Bob Jay.
Malcolm grew up in Mount Hanley and after graduating from Middleton High School, began his long career with the Royal Bank of Canada. Malcolm loved a good time with family and friends, especially ’happy hour’ at the cottage on Lake Pleasant where he and Eda spent weekends and summers for the last 50 years.
There will be no funeral and a celebration of Malcolm’s life will be held at a later date. We would like to thank the Palliative Care and VON Organization in the Valley and in Halifax who made Malcolm’s last days more comfortable. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
