      Ralph Cogswell Skinner, 82, Cookville, died December 6, 1999, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Edward Charles and Annie Mae (Cogswell) Skinner.
       Surviving are daughters, Sylvia Frank, Bridgewater; Elaine MacDonald, Halifax; sons, Randal, Bridgewater; Terry, Brampton, Ontario;11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, E. Vernon Skinner, Dartmouth; Charles Skinner, Ottawa; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy; brothers, Lloyd, Scott, Kenneth.
       No visitation at the funeral home by request. Memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday in Bridgewater United Church, Rev. Ivan Norton officiating. Private family burial in Brookside Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or South Shore Regional Hospital. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater.
