      Larson, Robert C. (Bob) February 1, 1935 ~ March 7, 2016 — Our dad passed away at Cerenity Nursing Home in the early morning hours Monday, March 7. He was preceded in death by father, Chester; mother, Sophie; sister, Jeanette; brother, Dennis; son, Bob and first wife, Rita. He is survived by his brother, Don (Marilyn); children, Linda, Ylanda (David), Ken (Sue), Jim (Dianna), Steve, Debbie, Mike (Patti), Rick (Debbie); second wife, Lorna; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dad owned and operated our family business, Larson’s Greenhouses, in Mendota Heights for fifty years where he was loved and appreciated by his employees and customers alike despite, or maybe because of his old-school, no nonsense nature. He took care of plants and animals all his life, and that carried over to the nursing home where he was still the boss, even going so far as to seed tomatoes into flats which we eventually planted in the manicured gardens at Cerenity. He still browsed through seed catalogs, thinking about what to plant for spring. We, and all who knew dad, have lost a larger than life presence. A special thank you to Cheryl at Cerenity for taking care of our dad like family.
       Funeral service 3 PM Sunday March 13, 2016 at Wulff Funeral Home, 1485 White Bear Ave., St. Paul with a visitation 1 hour prior. Dad taught us "Do the best you can, it’s all you can do". We’ll continue to that dad.
