Death of Mrs. Shaw – Mrs. Salome Shaw, widow of the late Isaac Shaw, died at her home in Weston, on Friday night, after an illness of only a few weeks. The deceased, who was 75 years of age, was a daughter of Mr. Zoheth Freeman of Queens county. Four sons, a stepdaughter, (Mrs. Sanford) and an adopted daughter, are left to mourn the loss of an affectionate and tender mother. Two of the sons, Rev. Bailey, of California, and Dr. Carl, of St. Kitts, W. I., were unable to come, Mr. Harlan Shaw and little son, of Bridgewater, Mass., and Rev. Avery A., of Brookline, Mass., were with her at the last. Rev. M. P. Freeman of Wolfville, is a brother of the deceased. Two sisters are left - Mrs. Roach, mother of Rev. H. H. Roach, and Mrs. Minard, of Harmony, Queens Co. Mrs. Shaw was loved and respected by all who knew her, and her loss will be keenly felt by a large circle of friends.
