      Walter A. Homan, 78, of Hot Springs, Ark., died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, in Houston. He was born in Chicago on May 9, 1931, to Walter Carr and Cora Emma Holland Homan, who preceded him in death. He was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and was employed as an engineer in the construction business. Walter is survived by his wife, Mary McLemore Homan, of Hot Springs; son, Walter Keith Homan and wife Angela, of Baytown, Texas; daughters, Debi Jernigan, of Houston, Kathy Homan, of Hot Springs, and Barbara Ann Homan, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Jayme Jernigan and Stefanie Broussard; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Guests may register at www.caruth-hale.com.
