      Jean Evelyn Chute, 93 Passed away November 14, 2014. Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. , Monday November 19, 2014 at North’s Funeral Home 242 Orange Street Abilene, Texas with Chris Hale officiating.
       Jean Hammersley was born in Winnipeg, Canada on October 17, 1921. She married Gordon Chute on June 8, 1946 and they were married for 59 years before his passing in May of 2005. She is survived by a daughter, Nancy Blevins, and husband Bruce; a daughter, Heather Hamner, and husband, Gary; and a son, Bruce Chute; as well as eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
       Jean was a retired World War II Nurse and homemaker, who resided in Abilene for the past 11 years after living in San Diego, California and Yuma, Arizona. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
